Step 1: To apply to SHRM National Student Chapter Membership:

Go to

Click on “Communities”

Then “Student Programs”

Under Membership Center – click “Join SHRM as a Student”

Click on “New Student Membership Application- Join Online Now” – click that you have reviewed and are eligible for membership. Complete the Application.

(*You will indicate the college you attend. However, anywhere in the application that needs the name and number of the student chapter, it is: Lehigh Valley Student Chapter #5603*)


You will need to pay the $35.00 yearly membership fee online, which will be reimbursed by the SHRM Lehigh Valley Professional Chapter.


Step 2: Once membership has been confirmed:

Your member number will be e-mail to you by SHRM National.

Please e-mail that number to:, with your current address in order that a $35.00 reimbursement check may be mailed to you.


Step 3: To Register (for free) for SHRM Lehigh Valley Student Membership:

In the second paragraph, “Click here” for information on joining our chapter.

Since you are a SHRM National member now, click on “Chapter Designation Form”

Print and complete the form, and either mail it or fax it to Beth Carey, Chapter Administrator as indicated on the form.

Please be sure to note somewhere on the form that you are a Student Chapter Member.

You will then begin receiving e-mails to all the local chapter events.

Most events for students are free.
